July 21: The Merchant Hotel on Selkirk Avenue was home to one of Manitoba’s top selling beer vendors and notorious for crime around the hotel but now everything but the exterior of the century old heritage site will be renovated into a campus, cafe, and affordable housing. Lauren McNabb reports.
